Pat Schmidt brings more than three decades of experience in business valuation, ESOPs, and fiduciary services. He is the founder of Value Consulting Group and recently served as Managing Director at Marshall & Stevens, where he advised privately held companies on valuation matters, shareholder transactions, ESOPs, financial reporting, and litigation support.
As an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Pat is widely recognized for his expertise in business valuation and has worked with companies across a broad range of industries throughout his career. He is passionate about helping business owners and employee-owned companies navigate complex decisions with clarity, integrity, and practical guidance.
As Interim CEO of Ventura Trust, Pat provides leadership and strategic oversight while supporting the firm's continued commitment to serving clients with independence, expertise, and a fiduciary-first approach.
Pat lives in Minneapolis, MN and in his spare time enjoys spending time with his family, playing pickleball and cheering on the Minnesota Vikings!
