Alex Perry, ASA
Managing Director
As Managing Director at Ventura, Alex leads the Relationship Management Team in serving as Transaction Trustee and Ongoing Trustee for 150+ clients annually.
A leader in the ESOP community, Alex has co-authored chapters on executive compensation and responding to acquisition offers in an ESOP context. He regularly presents at regional and national ESOP conferences and at client board and participant education events.
Alex is a member of the National Center for Employee Ownership and the ESOP Association, including serving on TEA’s Committee on Fiduciary Issues.
Prior to joining Ventura in 2018, Alex spent nine years with Adamy Valuation specializing in valuations for ESOP transactions and annual updates, estate tax reporting, charitable gifts, and management incentive plans. While advising ESOP trustees and stakeholders,
he worked on transactions ranging from less than $1 million to over $200 million. Alex became an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation in 2015, and he is a member of the American Society of Appraisers.
Alex earned his BBA in Finance and Accounting from Grand Valley State University.
Alex is based in Grand Rapids, MI, where he lives with his wife and two dogs. Outside of Ventura, Alex enjoys disc golf and as much live music as his schedule allows. He’s seen Umphrey’s McGee 64 times as of early 2024.
